Three generations,
one recipe.
A Mediterranean tradition carried from a small coastal village to the heart of Downtown Plano, Texas.
It started with a grandmother's recipe.
In 1956, our founder spent his summers learning the craft from his grandmother in a small Mediterranean village. No shortcuts — just real fruit, fresh dairy, and patience.
From simpler, more natural days to today, our gelato recipe has traveled across Europe to America, finding its home in Plano, Texas.
The story so far
From a Mediterranean kitchen to Downtown Plano.
The recipe is born
In a small village on the Mediterranean coast, our founder learned the art of gelato from his grandmother — real fruit, fresh dairy, and patience.
First shop opens
After two decades of perfecting the craft across Europe, the family brought their recipes to America, opening the first shop in Chicago.
Moving to Texas
Second generation took the helm and relocated to Downtown Plano, where the warm Texas climate felt closest to home.
Third generation
Today the third generation carries on — still using the same recipes, still churning fresh every morning, still no preservatives.
All-natural, always.
We never use artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Every scoop starts with real ingredients — fresh fruit, locally sourced dairy, hand-roasted nuts.
Crafted with tradition, care, and devotion, every flavor is made with the same discipline we'd expect for our own family. Because at SkyBlue Gelato, our customers are family.
